Chris Loft

I enjoy creating web pages. It is a challenge to construct a page that is well-designed, efficient and practical. I won't say that I have had a great deal of success all of the time. This is a learning process; I would like to think that I am gradually making some progress.

These web pages are based on a design by Erwin Aligam - ealigam@gmail.com. This template, called PixelGreen, and is one of many free resources that can be found on the internet. Using free resources available on the internet you can create things out of nothing. Out of ideas. From your own ideas or the work that other people have created. With these free and often simple resources your can create media-rich constructions and devices.

These pages are about some of the things I enjoy creating and producing.

. . . more about this template

lightThis web template was originally designed for using as a blog; but it has a very simple layout that can easily be modified to suit the purposes of this portfolio assignment. I could also have set up a WordPress blog, but I am already doing that on my other uni blog at http://blogloft.wordpress.com

I like the leafy trees in the header at the top of the page. Some of my other web sites also have a green and black theme. If I find time I will change the header picture so that it changes for each page, in a way that reflects the subject matter of the page - but still keeping in a leafy or green theme.

This template uses a CSS stylesheet that is separate from the html code. Cascading Style Sheets allow you to make global changes to the style (text size, font, layout) - without having to make those changes to every single page. This enables you to keep your content seperate from your design.
